The ceiling grid is quickly taking shape as crews prepare for the installation of ceiling tiles. Behind the scenes, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems continue coming together, bringing us one step closer to finished learning spaces.
Every beam, wire, and panel represents another milestone in creating a modern, safe, and welcoming school for our students, staff, community.

Construction is moving full speed ahead, and every week brings exciting progress at Wilbur School!
✨ Elementary classrooms are really starting to come together, with classroom equipment now being installed.
🔨 Upstairs has officially been abated, clearing the way for the next phase of construction.
🍽️ Kitchen equipment is being installed, and the multipurpose room is nearing completion—it’s exciting to see these spaces taking shape!
⚡ The new transformer has arrived on site, another major milestone for the project.
🧱 And the momentum continues… sheetrock crews will be on site starting Monday!
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s incredible to watch the transformation happen day by day. The finished result is going to be worth the wait! 💙
🏗️ Creston Construction Update
Exciting progress continues at Creston Schools! Our construction team is hard at work, and the project is moving along smoothly.
The work continues from the inside out, with the ductwork and heating piping now installed. T-bar ceiling grids are nearly complete, and the exterior ductwork is finished and ready for the arrival of the new air handling units for final hookup.
Every week brings us one step closer to upgraded, more efficient learning spaces for our students and staff. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we continue making great progress. The finished project is going to be something our entire community can be proud of!

Due to ongoing construction at the Wilbur Schools, the Wilbur and Creston School Districts Board Meetings will be held in the Creston School Library.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we continue making improvements to our school facilities.
The project in Creston continues to move forward nicely!
This work is being completed from the inside out. The air handling units will be installed once the ductwork is complete, and then the interior spaces will be restored.
Electricians will be on-site starting next week as they begin their portion of the project.
At our request, Apollo Solutions Group, our contractor, rerouted the boiler piping to the locker rooms through the space beneath the exterior porch roof. The piping will be insulated and sealed to maximize efficiency.
The thought of exposed pipes hanging on the wall of our beloved gymnasium didn’t feel like it honored the stored memories of championship teams and the community pride that fills that space.
A huge thank you to Apollo Solutions Group for partnering with us to find a solution that preserves both the functionality and the character of our school!
Progress continues at Wilbur Schools, and every day brings us one step closer to a modernized, more efficient school!
Scaffolding is now in place as crews complete the elementary school court ceiling abatement, while work in the classrooms continues to move forward at a great pace.
In the multi-purpose room, new ductwork is being installed, and electrical panels throughout the building are being renovated and upgraded. These important infrastructure improvements will provide a safer, more reliable, and more energy-efficient school for our students, staff, and community for years to come.

Summer may have just begun, but there’s already a lot happening at Wilbur Schools!
As of July 1, construction is moving forward with equipment being staged and demolition underway to make way for critical infrastructure improvements. These first steps are paving the way for significant upgrades to our heating and electrical systems—investments that will create a safer, more efficient, and more comfortable learning environment for our students and staff for generations to come.

🚧 Construction Projects Underway at the Schools 🚧 Exciting improvements are happening across our districts this summer!
The modernization continues this summer in Creston with today's construction on duct work and equipment pads for air handlers.
As part of the modernization process at Wilbur, asbestos-containing materials located in certain structural portions of the school must be safely removed to ensure the long-term health, safety, and environmental well-being of our students, staff, and community. To prepare for this important work, classrooms, library spaces, offices, and other areas have been carefully packed up and moved into storage for the summer. A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated staff members who have spent countless hours packing, organizing, and relocating materials. Their hard work and flexibility are helping ensure our construction crews have the space they need to complete this important project safely and efficiently. We appreciate everyone’s efforts and look forward to sharing updates as these exciting improvements continue to take shape!
