Flyers should be arriving in mailboxes soon with information from the Creston School District and Wilbur School District regarding upcoming replacement levies. These levies support school operations, educational programs, staffing, activities, and facility needs, while maintaining the same level of support previously approved by voters.

One of the most recent major maintenance projects funded by the capital levy was the re-roofing of the Wilbur Gymnasium.
This well-loved building, constructed in 1949, has been the backdrop for countless memories in our community. From unforgettable basketball and volleyball games to graduations and celebrations, this grand old dome has served generations of Wilbur students and families.
The roof replacement completed last summer delivers on the capital levy promise—taking care of what we have and ensuring our facilities remain safe, clean, and ready for learning. This project totaled $254,000, utilizing more than one year of capital levy funds.
Previously, the multipurpose building also received a new roof, using the remaining funds from the prior year’s capital levy.

In the 1980s, with the help of students and the Creston community, a baseball field was built in this beautiful location just south of Creston School. Many students at the time played a hands-on role in developing the area, creating a space that served as an important part of our school and community. Following the athletic cooperative, the field had not been used as an official sports field.
This spring, that is changing.
With the addition of Junior High Softball to our athletic offerings, the Upper Field is being renovated and prepped for a new chapter. A new, state-of-the-art irrigation system has been installed, helping ensure the field will once again support school sports, physical education classes, and recreational use.
This transformation honors the field’s roots—built by the community and kids—while investing in opportunities for today’s students.

Following the HS boys varsity basketball game on Friday, January 9th, all 7th–12th grade students are invited to the 5th Quarter in the Multi-Purpose Room!
