All of our athletic programs—coaches, transportation, and opportunities to compete—are made possible through local levy support. Because of our two community’s investment, the Wilbur-Creston Cooperative School Districts has enjoyed incredible years in athletics, giving students the chance to grow, compete, and succeed together.
Here’s just a glimpse of what that support has helped achieve:
🏈🏐 State Championships and playoff runs in Football and Volleyball
🤼♀️ Historic first-ever state placers in Girls Wrestling, earning 3rd and 5th place
🏀 Boys and Girls Basketball competing at the state level
⚾ Baseball playoff appearance, plus four Track seniors qualifying for state
🥎 A strong and fun Softball season
⛳ Boys and Girls Golf at state, highlighted by a 2nd place finish for Boys Golf
Athletics are more than wins and trophies. They build teamwork, discipline, confidence, and school pride. Sports are another powerful way our students belong, learn, and thrive in Wilbur and Creston schools.
Thank you for supporting our kids and our communities 💙

Wilbur, Creston, and Keller 6th grade students have been attending one of the longest-running outdoor learning camps at Lost Lake for generations. This experience is more than a rite of passage—it teaches students how to thrive in the outdoors, build independence, problem-solve, and grow in confidence.
Just as importantly, friendships are formed, teamwork is strengthened, and for many students, it’s their first time spending time away from home in a safe, supportive environment. These moments create memories and skills that last far beyond the school year.
Belong. Learn. Thrive. takes on many forms at Wilbur and Creston School Districts—and outdoor education is one of them. Experiences like Lost Lake are made possible through local levy support, which helps fund counselors, supplies, transportation, and equitable access so every student can participate.

Here’s what’s happening with our WCK student-athletes this week.

Extra-curricular activities in Career and Technical Education (CTE) are also supported by your local levies, helping fund advisor stipends, student opportunities, travel, and participation in leadership and career-readiness programs. These experiences give students hands-on learning beyond the classroom, building skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and real-world career pathways.
During the last levy cycle, Wilbur-Creston-Keller students qualified for FBLA Nationals each year, showcasing their business and leadership skills on a national stage. We also proudly brought back our FFA chapter, that represents Wilbur-Creston-Keller at the State FFA Convention, connecting students to agricultural education, leadership development, and community service opportunities.
These programs enhance classroom learning, open doors to scholarships and careers, and help students discover their passions—preparing them for success in college, careers, and life.
Enhancing the learning and lives of our students today, while building strong futures for tomorrow.

Thank you to our volunteer student today for delivering another cart full of the Bite2Go weekend bags to students in Wilbur Elementary.
